We are unfamiliar with this question. We have assumed the response for far too long. So, we ask it now. The American Baptist Churches USA has developed a resource to assist you in asking this question in your congregation. It involves a commitment to Jesus Christ, a commitment to pledge all of one's life for all of one's life. It helps us become a denomination centered in Christ, and generous in response to God's grace. The resource "Do You Really Want to Follow Jesus" has been printed and put in a CD format and sent free to every American Baptist congregation in Summer 2004.
