Mission Advocates in Partnership

• Mission Advocates model, encourage, communicate, and ask for support of American Baptist mission, as they serve Christ through this important ministry. They are well-trained and informed laity with a desire to share American Baptist stories of mission and ministry in their own congregations.
• Mission Advocates serve as a mission education resource to their pastors and represent their local congregation’s mission in the wider mission of American Baptists.
• Mission Advocates in each American Baptist region meet together to receive commissioning, training, and ongoing support.
• Mission Advocates become part of a network that includes the entire American Baptist family. They represent the ministries of our national and general boards.
• Mission Advocates help bring Acts 1:8 to life in their communities, their regions, our country, and around the world.
